CraveCoach Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy explains how CraveCoach handles information when you use the iOS app, widget, and this support website. CraveCoach is owned and published by Baja Sky Studios LLC.
2. Information stored on your device
CraveCoach can store your name, current and goal weight, height, daily calorie target, selected coaching tone, calorie entries, food notes, custom rules, meal templates, craving reflections, progress wins, danger-window settings, planned snacks, and related preferences. Version 1.0 stores this information in the app's local container.
The widget receives a limited App Group snapshot containing calories consumed, calories remaining, daily target, current streak, progress, update time, and a short coaching message.
3. Optional device permissions
Camera
The camera is used only when you choose barcode scanning. The standard release does not record video or store camera frames.
Photos
You can explicitly select a meal photo. In version 1.0, no production photo-analysis endpoint is configured, so the selected image is not transmitted by CraveCoach for remote analysis.
HealthKit
If you opt in, CraveCoach can read body mass, step count, and active energy to show habit context. HealthKit access is optional, the core app remains usable without it, and the standard release does not transmit HealthKit data to Baja Sky Studios LLC or use it for advertising.
Notifications
If you opt in, CraveCoach schedules local reminders on your device. Notification timing and permission settings are managed through iOS.
4. External services
The submitted version 1.0 binary uses local rule-based coaching and local food fallbacks. Production AI, nutrition-search, barcode-provider, and photo-analysis endpoints are not bundled into this release. If a future version enables a cloud feature, its disclosures and App Privacy answers will be updated before release, and the app will explain what data leaves the device.
5. Support website
This static support website does not include analytics, advertising, account creation, or contact forms. If you email support, your email provider and Baja Sky Studios LLC will process the information you choose to include so the support request can be answered. Do not include health records or other sensitive information unless it is necessary.
6. Export, deletion, and retention
You can export a JSON copy of local app data from Data controls. Reset local data clears the app's local records and returns to onboarding. Uninstalling the app removes its app container, subject to Apple's device backup and restore behavior. Support emails are retained only as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain business records, and meet legal obligations.
7. Children
CraveCoach is not directed to children under 13. A parent or guardian should supervise any minor's nutrition and weight-management decisions and consult an appropriate clinician when needed.
8. Health and safety
CraveCoach provides general habit and food-decision support. It is not medical advice, does not diagnose or treat a condition, and is not a substitute for care from a licensed clinician or registered dietitian. The app should not be used to support starvation, purging, punishment, or other unsafe behavior.
9. Changes
We may update this policy when app features or data practices change. The effective date above will identify the current version.
